Universal Orlando finally made it official that The Weeknd will be featured in their own house at Halloween Horror Nights 2022! This house has been rumored and speculated about for a long time now, ever since the unfortunate end of the Billie Eilish house that we never got in 2020. Today, June 7th of 2022, marks the 32nd anniversary of Universal Studios Florida’s opening! It’s hard to put into words how much of an impact this park has had on the theme park industry, community, and my own personal life. Universal sent a shockwave through the industry back in the late 1980’s when they announced their intentions to expand into Orlando, Florida. Universal, a division of MCA at the time, was known for their studio backlot tour located on the sets of their Hollywood film studio, but wasn’t yet known for their presence in the themed entertainment industry.

Universal Orlando Resort just sent out a survey to all their annual passholders inquiring about how they’d feel if the resort implemented a park reservation system. This is a system that Walt Disney World, and other Disney Resorts, have been using for quite some time now. Let’s dive into this a bit more and see why Universal might be interested in incorporating this system inside of their own parks.
